Many of us make our lives so complicated. We certainly did. It took a few baby steps but we quit our high-pressure jobs and our former lives to live simply and work from home. We save resources and money - and regain grace and time - by not buying into... well, buying. Living smaller. From our home, we can walk to the market as well as the train station - from there we can get anywhere. We are city farmers, using our backyard and balcony to raise chickens, grow our food and plant medicines. We thrive in that delicate balance between the natural world and the cultivated one; celebrating the seasons, our community and gradually working toward self-sufficiency.

Jeri (Suzanna in Italy) is an artist and enviromental scientist.

Phil (Filippo in Italy) is retired from the U.S. Public Health Service.
