The studio is a complete mini-apartment with full bath and kitchenette and private entrance. Newly renovated, the space is the former stable of a 500 year old home at the end of a quiet, narrow pedestrian-only street in the upper part of the city. Parts of the studio date to Roman times and the original stone has been uncovered and restored. The studio sleeps two in a letto matrimoniale (approximately queen-size bed) and has a dining area and storage spaces. Wireless internet access is available. In the studio are many guidebooks (in English) of Umbria, Toscana and Marche, as well as maps and information on the region. The hosts (who speak English and Italian) will be happy to provide suggestions for activities and tours.

Spello is a beautiful jewel of a town which has retained its medieval character. There is much to do in town, all within Walking distance. Spello is on a main train line with direct service from Firenze and Roma. (Each is about a two hour drive from Spello.) Assisi is 10 km away and easily reachable by car, train or bus, as are Perugia, Foligno, Spoleto, Deruta, Gubbio, Orvieto, Lago Trasimeno, Siena and all of the beautiful Umbrian countryside. Spello is the perfect town to use as a base for day trips to some of the most famous sites in Italy or to escape from the tourist crowds.

Rates are €60 per night (minimum two nights) or €350 per week.
